Shadrack Barffour Awuah, M.D. is a compassionate physician and researcher currently serving as a Transitional/Chronic Care Intern at the Washington Health Institute (WHI). He earned his medical degree from Ternopil National Medical University in Ukraine and practiced medicine for three years in Ghana, providing comprehensive care to diverse communities.

At WHI, he supports chronic care management and transitional care management initiatives, assisting in coordinating patient-centered care for individuals with complex, long-term conditions and promoting smooth transitions following hospital discharge to improve health outcomes.

He is also engaged in academic research, with contributions available on ResearchGate, focusing on primary care innovation, preventive health, and advancing health equity in underserved populations.
