This partnership will create the premier LGBT Health practice focused on gay and bisexual men’s health in the region. The Washington Health Institute (WHI) is a non-profit healthcare organization whose mission is to provide holistic, patient-centered, outcomes-driven care, support services, and health sciences research to transform the lives of patients, their families, and underserved communities.  WHI offers exceptional and personalized primary, internal medicine, and infectious diseases specialty care to the Washington, DC metro region.

Like Dupont Circle Physicians Group, Washington Health Institute specializes in LGBTQIA+ healthcare, provides expert HIV care and prevention (PrEP) services, and optimizes the long-term health and well-being of patients. The Dupont Circle Physicians Group providers join a workforce of more than ten other clinicians and forty-two staff members at WHI’s Northeast location at 1140 Varnum ST NE, Providence Medical Building, Suite 203; WHI Price Medical at 1330 New Hampshire Ave NW, Suite 121; and WHI Silver Spring at 8630 Fenton Street, Suite 230, Silver Spring, MD.

Will Dupont Circle Physicians Group change?

Dupont Circle Physicians Group medical providers, Benjamin Stearn, MD and Bennett Hailey, MD, will continue to provide personalized, compassionate care to the LGBTQIA+ community and allies just as we have for the past 30 years. We have always taken pride in not being a “typical doctor’s office” and that will remain the same.

We are excited to continue to explore ways to better serve patients’ greatest challenges; work to End the HIV Epidemic and other syndemics impacting the region; address chronic diseases; provide state-of-the-art prevention, treatment, and technology services; share our expertise and resources; and raise the bar for health care in the Washington DC metro region for the LGBTQIA+ and other underserved communities.

What will be different?

One important change to note is that there will be a new home for your care. Starting on October 1st, 2025, all visits will take place at our WHI-Price Medical location, a modern and convenient facility designed to better serve our patients. This facility is located at 1330 New Hampshire Ave NW, Suite 121, Washington, DC 20036.
