Lisa Massa, MPH, BSN, RN

Lisa is Clinical Nurse Manager at the Washington Health Institute.

Lisa Massa joined Washington Health Institute in August 2024 as the Registered Nurse Care Manager. Originally from Pennsylvania, she graduated from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2011 , working in medical-surgical/trauma and orthopedics before transitioning to primary Care in 2014. She then moved to Virginia and worked for the Department of the Air Force at Joint Base Andrews’ Internal Medicine Clinic, first as a contractor and then as a civilian employee. In 2019, she enrolled in grad school part-time, eventually graduating in 2023 with her Masters in Public Health. Meanwhile, community care called her and she left federal employment in 2021 to work for a local Federally Qualified Health Center in Virginia as a Nurse Coordinator, where she was honored to assist in providing primary care for her neighbors. Here she participated in community COVID-19 vaccination efforts. Lisa is passionate about preventative health, quality in health care, health equity and leadership and believes fervently that healthcare is a human right for all.

In her spare time, Lisa loves to read, take long walks, and spend time with her husband and two cats, Dexter and Oliver.
