Kristina Rowshan, LGSW is a licensed social worker based in Washington, DC. She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Boston University and began her career as a Certified Peer Specialist and Recovery Coach, bringing a strong, person-centered approach to her practice. Kristina operates from a Liberation Health framework, believing it’s essential to include personal, cultural, and institutional contexts in the therapy room.
Kristina has extensive experience providing trauma-informed care, using a multimodal approach that incorporates evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Seeking Safety to meet the unique needs of each individual. She has worked with diverse populations, from adolescents to older adults, and has provided therapy in both English and Spanish.
Most importantly, Kristina is passionate about and deeply committed to growing through the therapeutic process alongside her clients. Outside of work, she enjoys watching Real Housewives (she’s seen every city!), going on walks, and doting on her cat.
