Nancy C. Markoe, MPM, MSW, LICSW is the Director of Psychosocial Support and Wellness Services at Washington Health Institute. Prior to working at WHI, Markoe worked with individuals and groups in a variety of clinical settings  for over 20 years. She has advanced training in psychotherapy and trauma treatment.

Markoe works collaboratively with patients as they discover their own distinctive path to wellness and has learned much from her patients over the years, bringing these lessons to her work supervising students and social workers. Both a proud Bronx native and long-time DC resident, Ms. Markoe likes to run, read and practice yoga when she isn’t at work.
